Friday 20th October 2023 – One Day Basket Making Class

Embrace this wonderful heritage craft and make your very own one of a kind basket!

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to weave a round willow basket, suitable for use as a Bread Basket, Bicycle Basket or Fruit Basket.  This course is suited to beginners or to those who wish to practice the techniques involved in the round basket. Fun and learning guaranteed in the comfortable setting of St. Josephs Hall, Leitrim Village. 

All materials and tools provided and each person will finish a round basket to take home as the group will be small to ensure that everyone gets individual attention and support. Straps included for anyone that wants to weave a bicycle basket.

The course starts at 10am sharp and finishes by 5pm.  Tea / Coffee is provided. Bring a packed lunch. (There is a shop with Deli counter within walking distance)
