During the workshop, you’ll learn the art of willow weaving and create your very own Leitrim Potato Basket to take home. But that’s not all! Helena will also share some tales she has gathered from those who remember these baskets in use in living memory as part of her project with Leitrim County Council.
Whether you’re a seasoned craftsperson or new to basketry, this class is a fantastic opportunity to connect with tradition, create a beautiful keepsake, and immerse yourself in the stories of the past.

All materials and tools provided and each person will finish a basket to take home as the group will be small to ensure that everyone gets individual attention and support.
The course starts at 9:30am sharp and finishes by 2:30pm. Tea / Coffee is provided. Bring a packed lunch. (There is a shop with Deli counter within walking distance)
